I. List of Social media researcher duties:

           1.       Assist Social Media team in executing Digital, Social Media and Internal and Sales communications strategies and campaigns
           2.       Compile reporting and tracking success of these campaigns
           3.       Assist in managing communications with internal and external community managers, bloggers and other social media professionals
           4.       Identifying new sites, bloggers and communities who may be helpful to partner with
           5.       Help to identify trends in the social space through blog research and analysis tools
           6.       Research and create brand journalism style content for corporate blog posts and internal communications through our corporate Intranet
           7.       Develop ways to generate interest among online social communities for AOL Properties and products
           8.       Cover key industry events through livetweeting, Storify, liveblogging and other means
           9.       Attend small conferences and meetups to help network within local PR and tech communities
       10.       Help out AOL Corporate Events on as needed basis
       11.       Participates in team meetings
       12.       Provide administrative support to the department and assist with special projects

II. List of Social media researcher qualifications

           1.       Rising Sophomore or Junior studying Marketing, Communications, PR and/or related majors preferred
           2.       Must have an active social media presence on major social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn,etc
           3.       Existing familiarity with social media industry a plus.
           4.       Superior communications skills, both oral and written
           5.       Strong organizational skills, creative thinker
           6.       Internet/research savvy
           7.       Experience with social media tracking and monitoring tools including bit.ly, Adobe SiteCatalyst or Google Analytics, Radian6.
           8.       Experience with the dynamic of the blogosphere, 
           9.       Well organized, able to multi-task, able to prioritize with minimal direction 
       10.       Able to follow up with project partners to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables 
       11.       Good oral and written communication skills, fluent in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML
       12.       PC or Mac oriented Experience with CMS (WordPress, Drupal) and web production tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Final Cut, iMovie) a plus
       13.       Knowledge of digital media industry a plus.
       14.       Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
